Lucy I. Davis Phillips Collection: The Study of Women Graduates of the University of Oregon Medical School and Willamette University 1852-1978 1920-1959

Lucy I. Davis was the Registrar of the University of Oregon Medical School for 25 years. She kept the records of all students of the school and evaluated and summarized the transcripts of thousands of applicants for admission. While registrar, Lucy compiled the record of the activities of women graduates of the school, which comprises this collection. The deconstructed scrapbook includes photographs, biographical information and obituaries for most of individuals listed. It also contains newspaper articles and other information added to the volume after Phillips' death. An addendum to the collection consists of survey forms filled out by women physicians who graduated from the UOMS, rosters of women graduates of UOMS and Willamette University in active practice, and minutes of the Multnomah County Medical Society.
